Tom Anastassiou - Director
Mr. Anastassiou is a Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Chanin Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in executing M&A and corporate finance transactions for public and private companies.
Prior to joining Chanin Capital Partners, Mr. Anastassiou worked exclusively on advisory and capital raising assignments for a Los Angeles-area investment banking boutique. Representative clients included venture capital firms and early-stage technology, biotech and healthcare companies.
Earlier, Mr. Anastassiou was a Vice President at Bear, Stearns & Co., where he worked on a broad range of investment banking transactions in the consumer, healthcare, technology, industrial, and financial institutions sectors. Representative clients included: City National Bank, Equifax, NetBank, Schering AG, Warnaco and Wells Fargo, among others. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Mr. Anastassiou worked in the private equity division of General Electric Investments and with small entrepreneurial real estate partnerships.
Mr. Anastassiou holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics summa cum laude from the University of Southern California, a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Mr. Anastassiou is a member of the State Bar of California.

Donald J. Jacobs - Director
Mr. Jacobs is a Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Chanin Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Mr. Jacobs has led client execution teams across a broad range of situations including: buy-side and sell-side transactions, recapitalizations, spin-offs, leveraged buyouts, strategic alternative reviews, defense advisory assignments, private placements, and fairness, solvency and valuation opinions. His investment banking expertise covers a diverse range of industry sectors including general industrials, consumer products, healthcare, business services, chemicals, technology, and aerospace and defense.
Mr. Jacobs was formerly a Director at The Silverfern Group, a boutique investment bank, where he was involved in all aspects of M&A and capital raising for middle-market clients. Previously, Mr. Jacobs was a Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at UBS, and also served its predecessor, PaineWebber, as an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Earlier, he was a Senior Associate at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, providing M&A and financial advisory services to middle-market companies. Past representative clients include: Aramark Corp.; El Paso Energy Partners, L.P.; Entegris, Inc.; Interline Brands; Parthenon Capital; Ramsay Youth Services, Inc.; Thomas Nelson, Inc.; and Union Carbide, among others.
Prior to his investment banking experience, Mr. Jacobs worked at Emcor Group where he acquired direct operational experience by coordinating the financial planning process and assisting in the development of the corporate strategic plan. Mr. Jacobs began his career with Arthur Andersen, providing audit and advisory service to emerging growth companies.
Mr. Jacobs is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Master of Business Administration degree, Beta Gamma Sigma, from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from The College of William and Mary.

John P. Madden, CPA, CIRA - Director
Mr. Madden is a Director at Chanin Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in all phases of financial restructurings and recapitalizations, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, and capital raising. Mr. Madden is an expert in leading both interim management assignments for debtor clients and advisory engagements for debtor and creditor clients. Current and recent engagements include Birch Telecom, Citation Corporation, Delphi Corporation, Global Power Equipment Group, Granite Broadcasting, LSG Sky Chefs, Neoplan, Owens Corning, Supercanal, Ultimate Electronics and WHX Corporation.
Formerly, Mr. Madden was a Director of Kroll Zolfo Cooper, where he held positions of increasing responsibility for more than five years. He was a member of the interim senior management team involved in the restructuring of Enron, as Director of Restructuring. Other engagements included: debtor advisor to Washington Group International, Inc. (formerly Morrison Knudsen Corporation); company advisor to Party City Corporation and to Prison Realty Trust/Corrections Corporation of America in their respective out-of-court restructurings; and, debtor advisor to Golden Ocean in its corporate reorganization.
Earlier, Mr. Madden was employed as an Accountant by Arthur Andersen LLP in various audit engagements, working in a variety of industries.
Mr. Madden earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University. Mr. Madden is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).

David MacGreevey, CPA, CIRA - Senior Vice President
Mr. MacGreevey is a Senior Vice President at Chanin Capital Partners. Since joining Chanin Capital Partners in January 2002, Mr. MacGreevey has been involved in a variety of engagements, including in and out-of-court Debtor and creditor-side restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, valuation and fairness opinions and capital raising activities. Representative engagements include the representations of Arlington Hospitality, LSG Sky Chefs and Song Networks in their restructurings, the Unsecured Creditors Committees of Global Crossing, Philip Services, IT Group, Encompass Services and Supra Telecom and the Equity Committee of Adelphia Communications. In addition, Mr. MacGreevey has provided strategic advice, litigation support and numerous valuation and fairness opinions to Kvaerner ASA and its affiliates.
Prior to joining Chanin Capital Partners, Mr. MacGreevey was an Associate at Zolfo Cooper, LLC, a corporate recovery and crisis management firm. While at Zolfo Cooper, Mr. MacGreevey was involved in client engagements that included financial and operational restructurings, recapitalizations, strategic business assessments, asset dispositions, credit portfolio management and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Mr. MacGreevey’s responsibilities included preparing integrated financial and valuation models, cash flow and working capital analyses, assisting in the preparation of business plans and assisting senior executives with executing turnaround strategies. Mr. MacGreevey’s engagements included American Medical Response, Lucent Technologies, Laidlaw, Inc. and Corrections Corporation of America (formerly Prison Realty Trust).
Earlier, Mr. MacGreevey was a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. MacGreevey’s clients included the American Red Cross, DESA International, the National Hockey League, Salvatore Ferragamo and SFX. In addition, Mr. MacGreevey assisted major clients with acquisitions and financings.

Matthew D. Covington - Vice President
Mr. Covington is a Vice President of Chanin Capital Partners. At Chanin, Mr. Covington has worked on both company and creditor-side restructurings in a variety of industries. Current and recent restructuring engagements include Bayou Steel Corporation, Brightpoint, Inc., Calpine Corporation, Mirant Mid-Atlantic, LLC, The Pacific Lumber Company, Pegasus Satellite Communications, Inc., and The Wornick Company. Mr. Covington has also worked on selected distressed M&A transactions, including Crescent Jewelers and Legacy Estate Group, LLC. Mr. Covington joined Chanin in May 2002.
Prior to joining Chanin Capital Partners, Mr. Covington was an associate in the New York office of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a generalist in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. At CSFB, Mr. Covington worked with clients in a variety of industries, assisting them both with assessing and executing transactions. Representative transactions included AMR Corporation’s $5.1 billion purchase of TWA in January 2001; Splitrock Services’ $2.5 billion sale to McLeod USA in January 2000; TravelCenters of America’s $712 million sale to Oak Hill Capital Partners in June 2000; and the Boeing Company’s sale of its Fabrication Operations to GKN plc in October 2000 for $111 million.
Mr. Covington earned his JD and MBA degrees from the University of Chicago and an AB degree, with honors, from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Covington is admitted to the New York State Bar.

Brendan J. Murphy - Vice President
Mr. Murphy is a Vice President at Chanin Capital Partners. His experience includes corporate and asset appraisal including debt restructuring, capital structure assessment, extensive valuation, and liquidation analysis. He has executed deals throughout all phases of financial restructurings and represented clients within all levels of the capital structure, both in and out-of-court. Current and recent assignments include Aker Kvaerner, Arlington Hospitality, Global Power Equipment Group, Hampton’s Homes, Kvaerner Pharmaceuticals, NeoplanUSA, Pac-West Telecomm, Pan American Hospital, Performance Transportation Services, Philadelphia Shipyard, Stelco, Supercanal Holdings, Sunterra Europe, Ultimate Electronics, Inc., and WHX Corporation.
Prior to joining Chanin Capital Partners, Mr. Murphy worked as a Senior Associate in the Corporate Value Consulting practice of Standard & Poor’s in Houston, Texas. He assisted clients with merger and acquisition advisory and valuation analyses related to bankruptcy/fresh start accounting, financial reporting, government regulatory, litigation, and tax purposes. While at Standard & Poor’s, some of Mr. Murphy’s clients included Babcock & Wilcox, BP, Cornell Companies, Marathon Oil, Reliant Energy, RWE Trading Americas, Orthodontic Centers of America, Shell Oil Company, Southwest Business Corporation and Unilever.
Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, Mr. Murphy was an Analyst in the Global Corporate Finance Group at Enron Corp. He was involved with the management and valuation of securitization vehicles including the evaluation of multi-advance credit facilities impact to cash and book value. Additionally, he was involved in the negotiation and evaluation of complex structured finance transactions including the securitization of diverse international energy assets.
Mr. Murphy received a Masters in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics in London, England. As a scholar, he was awarded the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship by the Rotary Foundation. He is also a graduate from Vanderbilt University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration. .

Zach Stanton - Vice President
Mr. Stanton joined Chanin Capital Partners in 2005. Mr. Stanton has over 6 years of restructuring and corporate finance experience. His experience includes financial analysis and valuation, business plan development, and debt restructuring, as well as asset sale and other capital market transactions. Current and recent engagements include: DURA Automotive, Nellson Nutraceuticals, aaiPharma, Inc., Birch Telecom, Owens Corning and SuperCanal.
Prior to joining Chanin Capital Partners, Mr. Stanton was a Manager at Kroll Zolfo Cooper, a corporate recovery and crisis management firm. Representative engagements while at Kroll Zolfo Cooper include NRG Energy, Inc. and the TECO-Panda merchant generation facilities. On the NRG engagement, his primary focus was on NRG’s strategic and bankruptcy issues, including business planning and forecasting as well as bankruptcy plan development and execution. The TECO-Panda engagement included advising the Bank Group on the restructuring of its $1.6 billion loan for the construction of two merchant generation facilities and the development of a business plan to transfer ownership and operate the assets.
Prior to joining Kroll Zolfo Cooper, Mr. Stanton was a corporate development analyst at NewPower Holdings, a retail energy provider. Prior to that, Mr. Stanton worked in the Economic Services and Dispute Consulting Group of Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Stanton earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wesleyan University. .
